From Crete onward the permanence in the ports increases to give unity to the flotilla: if someone would like to linger, has some problems, the weather is variable, or if repairs are necessary…
ALTERNATION OF THE CREW
On the route we find the airports of Brindisi, Corfu, Preveza, Kefalonia, Creta, Rhodes, Kastellorizo, Cyprus Paphos and Tel Aviv, which offer easy changes of the crew.
THE RETURN
The arrival is expected around the first decade of June: we can allowe to return comfortably to Italy with three months of nice weather and good sea in a nice season, we can visite comfortably other Greek islands or returne to Italy within 7-9 days travelling day and night.
You can also let bring back your boat by professional skippers.
There will be indications and facilities for :
- port booking,
- agreements and facilities with medical insurance, technical assistance for your boat, weather forecast, satellite tracking,
- local events and meetings.
HELP FOR SAFETY
We forsee a flotilla of about 8 – 10 boats for which the geo-referencing will be available on a website of all the boats.
But the best security will be to travel together, with tranquillity, slowness, team spirit and solidarity.
HOW TO EQUIP THE BOATS
- All boats must be equipped with EPIRB
- A list of recommended accessories will be given to each participant
